Cheering From the Sidelines: Smith & Nephew

Smith & Nephew is dedicated to helping improve people’s lives, whether through innovative products or through contributions in local communities where we work and live. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, I can personally testify to the excellent resources WOCN provides nurses and we believe funding the education of WOC nurses will create a stable foundation for the future success of the field. ~ Patricia Burns, Vice President, Clinical Affairs, North America, Advanced Wound Management at Smith & Nephew

Cheering from the Sidelines: Hollister, Inc.

Hollister dedicates itself to be a company which looks outward to the needs of healthcare professionals, which includes future WOC nurses, and the people they serve. If Hollister Incorporated can assist with providing students the means to participate in educational programs we will do so proudly, and without hesitation, for the betterment of the community as a whole. ~ Dan Yrigoyen, General Manager of US Ostomy and Wound Care

According to Katherine: Thankful for Support

I pray often Cycling for Scholarships will meet its fundraising goal of $200,000. People have shown such generosity when donating to the cause. WOC care will continue to grow, as it did in my day of being a WOC nurse.

I have fond memories using the Hollister and Smith & Nephew products that revolutionized the field. They created the beginning to the advancing the ostomy and wound care field. At the time, we wondered: "What on earth would we need these products for?" Now I realize technology is ever-changing, and we must embrace it. Providing future WOC nurses with these educational funds will help them grow within the field, and adapt to the changes.

I am honored to wear our three corporate sponsors' logos on my shirt. ConvaTec, Hollister, Inc. and Smith & Nephew are helping provide people with the keys to a very bright and fulfilling future.
